Details of G.P Practices, much of which is on
this web site for Archway Surgery, now has to be made available under
The Freedom of Information Act. General Practitioners, who remain
private contractors to the NHS, have been caught up in this scheme
which was designed to allow members of the public obtain information
from Government bodies such as local authorities and NHS Trusts. Other
private contractors are outside the scheme. The information, much of
which is duplication, forms yet another administrative burden. It can
be found on the foi web site.
