You will be referred for another opinion when necessary. Let
us know if if you have doubts about your management. In the U.K. you
always require a letter from the surgery in order to see a consultant
specialist, even if you are seeing him or her privately. This way your
NHS record is kept up to date; this record follows you about the U.K. |

- To services such as physiotherapy
- Reccomendations to certain altrernative therapies

Hospital Referrals:
If you have not received the date of your appointment within three
weeks of us stating that we are making a referral, please contact the
surgery. For private referrals you will need to collect the letter a
few days after we have seen you. You then arrange your appointment with
the consultant's secretary or the hospital concerned.

- Pick up a private rerral letter and ring the consultans secretary to make an appointment
