The previous page
list shows NHS organisations including NHS Quangos/ALBs.
We
do not
know the political representation and balance for the whole range of
NHS
organisations, but assume it must be similar. Below is the
official listing of political makeup of all Government Quangos and
bodies, only some of which are NHS related:

From OCPA Commissioner 12th Annual Report (2006-2007) - 8 October 2007.
About OCPA:
"In 1995 the Nolan Committee made a series of recommendations intended to
increase public confidence in the way in which appointments to ‘Quangos’
were made. The principle recommendation was that an independent
Commissioner should be appointed. This Commissioner’s role would
be to establish a Code of Practice for ministerial appointments to
public bodies, and monitor the process to ensure that those
appointments are made on merit after fair and open competition.
Accordingly, the Office of the Commissioner for Public
Appointments was created by an Order in Council on 23 November 1995.
The Commissioner’s Code of Practice covers all ministerial
appointments to the boards of executive and advisory non-departmental
public bodies, NHS bodies, public corporations,
nationalised industries, and utility regulators. "
